New Jersey Ski & Snowboard Council (NJSSC)

The New Jersey Ski & Snowboard Council (NJSSC) was formed in November 1939 to promote amateur skiing, assist in the development of new clubs, sponsor and run inter-club competition and to generally promote club activity in skiing and other snow sports. It is incorporated as a “not-for-profit” corporation in the State of New Jersey and represents Ski & Snowboard clubs locally and nationally.

Currently, council membership is comprised of over 40 ski and snowboard clubs in the North East. Individual membership in the NJSSC is obtained by joining one of their member clubs such as the Rochester Ski Club.

Some highlights of what the NJSSC offers its member clubs (that’s RSC):

      • Ski council trips with group rate deals to all council club members
      • Council members ski clubs share their ski trips with other members
      • Membership Discounts at local NJ Ski and Snowboard Shops

The NJ Ski & Snowboard Council offers 2 types of discounts to the Membership of its Member Clubs;

1. Advance purchase lift tickets and Merchant/Ski Resort discounts when you present your ski/snowboard club membership ID card. The NJSSC offers club members an opportunity to obtain discount ski lift tickets from many Eastern ski areas. The program is administered through the individual member club, and all tickets are ordered by the club and delivered to the club. The program is for use by club members for themselves and their families, only. This program applies to individual members of SKI CLUBs that are members of the New Jersey Ski & Snowboard Council. A valid SKI CLUB ID issued by a member club must have a NJSSC numbered sticker affixed to the ID to validate a member’s eligibility to participate in the program. The 2025 sticker is valid for the ski season of 2024-2025. When both sticker and ski club ID are valid, this is considered a VALIDATED NJSSC SKI CLUB ID. Offers are subject to change without notice.

2. The Council organizes and runs several ski trips each year. The trips are open to all members of ski clubs who are part of the NJSSC. The Council will be running the following ski trips during the 2024 – 25 ski season.

            • Meribel, France – January 17 – January 25, 2025
            • Mont Tremblant, Canada – February 9 – February 14, 2025. This trip is now closed out.
            • Sun Valley, Idaho – February 22 – March 1, 2025. (An RSC offer)
            • Mt. Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, NH – March 2, 2025 – March 7, 2025 (An RSC offer)

Many of NJSSC member clubs run their own ski/snowboard trips to many exclusive resorts throughout the world. These local clubs, at times, will open their trips to members of other ski clubs.
