Donation / Planned Giving
|
In 1936 Dr. Roland Stevens, a medical student at the University of Rochester, and an ardent skier, obtained the names of several interested skiers from one of the local sports writers and formed the nucleus of this, the first organized ski club in the Greater Rochester Area. During the second year the founding members cleared land and installed a rope tow in Durand Eastman Park.
You joined the Rochester Ski Club to ski and enjoy the comaraderie of others who also enjoy our winter sport. Objectives of the Ski Club are to support skiing among persons who are interested in all phases of skiing, increase membership in the organization and provide a calendar of all activities for members. You continued your support when skiing was no longer possible by maintaining your membership and attending the various social events held throughout the year.
While the RSC is not a 501C3 (so no tax deduction), Planned Giving or a Donation allows you to leave a lasting legacy of support on behalf of a member. If interested, please contact the president or treasurer with your intent.
The above is due to the Club recently receiving a donation from a friend of a member who wished to honor him - Dick Clark, who left us in July 2024.
Please see below and enter information online/donate if you wish.
Questions: contact the President (Marilyn Nickerson) or Treasurer (Gary Kloesz)
